Sophie Dejonckheere is a core member of Boston Consulting Group’s Climate & Sustainability practice and leads sustainable finance for the Travel, Transportation, Infrastructure, Cities & Logistics practice. She joined BCG in 2022 bringing 15 years of experience working on climate finance and sustainable development initiatives from public and private sector angles.

Sophie helps her clients (corporates, financial institutions, and governments) align their financing strategies with sustainability objectives using impact investments and the debt capital markets with a focus on climate mitigation and adaptation—in particular, with infrastructure and cities. She also has special expertise in defining key challenges and opportunities to finance sustainable water management solutions.

Before joining the firm, Sophie was Director of Sustainable Finance and Corporate Transitions at TD Securities, a Senior Adviser on climate finance at the Center for International Climate Research in Oslo (CICERO), a Green Climate Fund Readiness Consultant for the United Nations Development Programme, and the Energy and Environment Program Manager at the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA).
