Stéphane Israël is a member of Boston Consulting Group's Industrial Goods practice. He joined the firm in January 2025, bringing over 15 years’ experience in the defense and aerospace industries. He works with European and international aerospace and defense companies to anticipate and overcome challenges shaped by technology and sovereignty.

Stéphane began his career as an auditor and conseiller référendaire (legal advisor) at the French audit court (Cour des comptes) in 2001, specializing in national defense, space, and industry. In 2007, he joined Airbus Group as Vice President, holding several key roles before becoming Chief of Staff to the Minister of Industrial Renewal in 2012. In 2013, he was appointed Chairman and CEO of Arianespace, the European leader in commercial space launch services. Since April 2017, on top of remaining Arianespace CEO, he joined the ArianeGroup Executive Committee where he served as Director of Civil Programs from 2017 to 2021.

He was a member of Carrefour Board of Directors from 2018 to 2024, chairing the Audit Committee and becoming Lead Board Member in 2020. Since 2023, Stéphane has been Chairman of the École Normale Supérieure (Ulm) Foundation.
