BOSTON—Boston Consulting Group (BCG) was named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Operations Improvement Consulting Services 2023–2024 Vendor Assessment (Doc #US50494723, December 2023). “BCG focuses on driving fast, measurable impact through execution and enablement anchored in the appropriate strategy to find high-ROI areas of opportunity,” the report said.
Based on IDC analysis and customer feedback, IDC evaluated 12 organizations that offer operations improvement consulting-related services. Participating vendors were placed either in the Leaders category or the Major Players category. Based on its performance, BCG was placed in the Leaders Category.
The report highlighted BCG's “collaborative, cross-functional model providing support at all levels of the client organization, with the goal of helping clients thrive and maintain sustained impact.” It sees the company taking “a holistic approach integrating digital and tech solutions to enable clients to respond to changing conditions and rapidly evolving economic and political dynamics and address challenges impacting operations.”

To be included in this IDC MarketScape assessment, vendors were required to have a defined operations consulting offering; a minimum of $100 million in annual operations consulting revenue and at least 50 client projects in 2022; minimum revenues of $20 million in each major geographic region; and 500 or more full-time operations-specific consultants.
