Boston Consulting Group Appoints Nadjia Yousif Chief Diversity Officer

BOSTON—Boston Consulting Group (BCG), one of the world’s leading management consulting firms, has named Nadjia Yousif to a new role as the firm’s first Chief Diversity Officer (CDO).

Together with all senior leaders at BCG, Yousif (she/her) will be responsible for driving BCG’s internal diversity agenda and fostering an equitable and inclusive environment across the firm. She will coordinate BCG’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) teams globally, drive targeted interventions in all the firm’s businesses, and be the voice for diversity to BCG’s Executive and Operating Committees.

Yousif joined BCG in 2004 in the US and rejoined the firm in 2009 in the UK after spending several years at UBS Wealth Management. She currently acts as DE&I lead for BCG in Europe, the Middle East, South America, and Africa (EMESA), and previously led the DE&I agenda for BCG’s London, Amsterdam, and Brussels (LAB) system. Yousif has coauthored numerous BCG articles on advancing the role of women in tech and effective DE&I metrics, and has helped BCG lead societal change through partnerships with Bloomberg, the Women’s Forum, Catalyst, TED Women, EurOut, ROMBA, The Valuable 500, Girls Who Code, and others.

Yousif is a three-time winner of the HERoes Women Executives award and was named one of INvolve’s Top 50 Ally Executives on its 2022 list of Outstanding LGBT+ Role Models. Having led technology and digital transformation projects with clients around the world for over a decade, she is a passionate advocate for diversity in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), and has represented BCG in many forums such as the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society and the Bloomberg Equality Summit. She is also a UK Trustee of Women for Women International, an organization that has helped more than 500,000 women survivors of war.

“DE&I is a cornerstone of our purpose and values, and core to our ability to deliver impact,” said Christoph Schweizer, BCG’s CEO. “I am pleased to welcome Nadjia as BCG’s Chief Diversity Officer. I know that she will be a leading business voice and champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion both internally and externally.”

On her new role as CDO, Yousif said, “It is essential that BCG is not only representative of the societies we serve, but also that everyone at BCG feels that they can bring his, her, or their full self to work. I am so excited to shape and progress the DE&I agenda at BCG and beyond.”
