In light of the demographic transformation of many industrialized and emerging economies, today’s workforce is the most age-diverse ever. However, we seem to know little about how to embrace and leverage the power of age diversity in an organization.
In a joint perspective, the St. Gallen Symposium and Boston Consulting Group show how organizations can fully mobilize the potential contribution of older as well as younger people in the workforce – with initiatives like reverse mentoring programs, shadow boards, senior talent pools or intergenerational employee resource groups.
