This report incorporates the results from the 2024 BCG Digital Government Citizen Survey (DGCS) and reflects the culmination of extensive data collection from over 41,600 individuals spanning 48 jurisdictions worldwide, and insights from interviews with more than 20 distinguished global experts.

The DGCS is the most exhaustive and enduring study of its kind in the world and captures the collective voice of citizens globally regarding digital government. The findings in this biennial report not only showcase the current landscape but also offer a unique lens through which the prudent application of Generation AI may enhance public sector service delivery, thereby reinforcing the relationship and trust between governments and citizens.
