BCG Named a Worldwide Leader in Artificial Intelligence Services by IDC MarketScape

BOSTON—Boston Consulting Group (BCG), one of the world’s leading management consulting firms, was named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Artificial Intelligence Services 2023 Vendor Assessment (Doc # US49647023, May 2023). “BCG combines functional and industry expertise, technology expertise, Responsible AI framework, and its technology build and design unit, BCG X, to deliver AI services to clients as part of holistic business transformation consulting engagements,” the report said.

Based on IDC analysis and customer feedback, IDC evaluated the AI services of 25 vendors. Participating vendors were placed in the Leaders Category, the Major Players Category, or the Contenders Category. Due to its performance, BCG was placed in the Leaders Category.1

The report underscored BCG’s efforts to help clients “build ‘companies of the future’ or companies that fuse AI and other cutting-edge technologies with human skills to drive innovation, adaptability, and performance.”

The IDC MarketScape’s assessment also highlighted the firm’s BCG X offering which partners with BCG to help clients build, operate, and scale AI and advanced analytics solutions, and achieve return on investment from AI. “The firm also draws upon its growing portfolio of AI assets, including industry- and function-specific workflows and software products such as CO2 AI, PLAN, and Fabriq, tailored to client needs, to accelerate AI solution deployments,” the IDC MarketScape report added.

To be included in this IDC MarketScape assessment, vendors were required to show offerings across the life cycle of AI business and IT services; over $100 million in AI services revenue over the last calendar year, generated in each major geographic region; go-to-market alliances with a range of AI software providers; and AI service offerings and solutions addressing a range of industry verticals and business functions.
