The Use of AI for Personalized Care Management – Identifying Risk Factors for Knee Revisions

The surgical use of total knee endoprostheses is one of the most common inpatient surgeries in Germany, accounting for eleven percent. In a joint project of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and BARMER, artificial intelligence is being used to identify risk factors for revision knee surgery. The results are placed in the current medical literature and the benefits for future personalized care are shown.
