The Work Me: Young, Male, Hetero

The metaverse links the real world with the virtual world and thus opens up many new possibilities - such as the ability to freely design certain personality traits and one's own appearance in the form of an avatar. Many employees would be more successful professionally as someone other than their "true self." Many LGBTQ+ people would consciously choose an avatar unlike themselves in the metaverse and pretend to be heterosexual. In contrast, heterosexuals see no advantage in concealing their sexual orientation.
