To maintain its position as a substantial player in the European energy landscape as well as sustain its robust export-driven economy, Norway will need to build new, green export industries to compensate for reduced oil and gas exports towards 2050. The critical question is: How can Norway create industries that not only ensure sustainable value creation for future generations and provide local employment, but also effectively address climate challenges?
