BCG Receives External Recognition in Digital Year After Year

BCG was named a leader in AI services in The Forrester Wave™: AI Services, Q2 2024, an evaluation of the 9 most significant AI service providers, deeming participating vendors Leaders, Strong Performers, Contenders, or Challengers. Based on its performance, BCG was one of the two companies named a Leader.

Forrester reported, “Boston Consulting Group excels at delivering AI with business impact. BCG challenges its clients’ assumptions of AI impact by developing innovative AI solutions with a pragmatic approach led by business expertise… [BCG’s] vision stands out, focused on its clients becoming more competitive with AI while bringing notable clarity about the investments in areas such as R&D, technical development, talent quality, and sector-specific capabilities. BCG provides a robust community to clients that includes peer-to-peer opportunities and networking with AI luminaries.”

BCG was named a leader in digital transformation services in The Forrester Wave™: Digital Transformation Services Q4 2023, an evaluation assessing 15 digital transformation providers that they deemed “the top vendors in the market.” Participating vendors were categorized as Leaders, Strong Performers, Contenders, and Challengers. BCG was one of five vendors identified as a Leader.

The report stated that “BCG’s emphasis on business strategy consulting and organizational transformation is reflected in its strong capabilities in these areas, relying on established C-suite relationships to create buy-in and collaboration across the organization. With BCG X (the firm’s tech build and design unit), it has established a strong differentiator in business model innovation based on a vast catalog of prebuilt components to quickly assemble new business units while co-innovating with clients to further expand the IP catalog.”

BCG was recognized as a leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Artificial Intelligence Services 2023 Vendor Assessment (Doc # US49647023, May 2023). The report noted, “BCG combines functional and industry expertise, technology expertise, Responsible AI framework, and its technology build and design unit, BCG X, to deliver AI services to clients as part of holistic business transformation consulting engagements."

BCG was recognized as a leader in  digital strategy consulting in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Digital Strategy Consulting Services 2021 Vendor Assessment (Doc # US46766521, June 2021). According to the report, "On average, the three areas where BCG reference clients commended the firm most highly were for client insight, ability to drive measurable value, and continuously challenging the client."

BCG was ranked as the number one leader in 2019 by ALM Intelligence, which assesses firms on their ability to create impact for their clients. BCG ranked number one across breadth of capabilities, depth of capabilities, and client impact. BCG also retained its best-practice status in the “Enabling Tools” category for the second year running because of the strength of the proprietary tools underpinning its organization strategy consulting methodologies. In addition, BCG stood out for its ability to connect the products, services, and capabilities of its broader ecosystem to leverage data and emerging technologies as it helps clients to execute large-scale organization strategies.

BCG was named a leading change management provider in 2019. ALM Intelligence recognized BCG’s comprehensive approach, noting that the firm excels in its ability to steer clients through large-scale change initiatives from strategy through execution with agile transformation management. The approach stands out for its holistic nature, enabling clients to manage three journeys simultaneously: leader, people, and organization. It instills discipline and data science into program management and creates an “engine room” for change with an innovative design for a physical space. Clients value BCG’s hands-on, practical, and technical approach to change, as well as its coaching capabilities.

BCG was recognized as the top provider in 2019. ALM Intelligence noted that BCG has all the necessary expertise and resources—technical, industry sector, geographic—immediately available in-house to help clients get joint venture and alliance deals right from the start.

BCG Lighthouse was named a finalist for Best Tech for Recovery at COGx’s 2020 Innovation Awards, which celebrated the best in AI and emerging technologies. The award highlights companies that are working to provide solutions to the myriad of societal issues raised by COVID-19.

BCG GAMMA’s CodeCarbon was named a finalist for Best Innovation in Open Source Technology at CogX’s 2021 Awards. CodeCarbon is an open-source tool that helps organizations track their AI carbon footprint. BCG GAMMA is now part of BCG X.

GAMMA FACET was named a finalist for Best Innovation in Explainable AI at CogX’s 2021 Awards, which recognizes champions of algorithmic transparency. FACET is an open-source software library that helps human operators make better, and more ethical business decisions.

BCG and BCG X won the 2024 CODiE Award for Best Marketing Solution for Fabriq by BCG. The award recognizes the best solution that enables companies to plan, target, market, and measure the effectiveness of campaigns promoting products and services to consumers and/or businesses online, off-line and via mobile devices. The CODiE Awards judges noted, "Fabriq empowers marketers with a powerful suite of tools for real-time personalization, media spend optimization, and seamless campaign management with existing tech stack.
